Peruzzi  Nigerian music star, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh better known by his stage name, Peruzzi in a new interview has opened up about how hard it was for him to believe that his cousin, Chioma is dating Nigerian superstar singer, Davido.

According to the “Majesty” crooner, he heard about the duo’s relationship after his mother’s burial. According to him, this was also around the same time when he noticed that Davido was always supporting his songs and brand on his social media platform.

He said:

“After my mother’s burial; I was going home and someone sent me a message on Twitter, commending my song. The person asked if I remembered her. After she explained who she was, I remembered her. She told me Davido sent my song to her. I didn’t believe it. She further told me that they were dating and she is like my distant cousin, so I didn’t even see it coming.

“I felt like how can she be dating Davido and I wouldn’t know since. She was able to convince me after she sent me some pictures; she told me he was going to be around the next day. She invited me to his welcome party and I went there around 2 am at Club 57.

“Once Davido entered with his entourage, I was scared. He was facing me, but I didn’t know what to do. I moved to see him carefully. He looked at me and called my name. I was happy and I held him. He told me he loved my songs and that I should come to his house. That was the best night of my life. I sent Chioma a text; that I was with him.

“I couldn’t sleep that night because I was too excited. She (Chioma) is my mother’s cousin’s daughter. But she is my cousin; that is how we refer to each other. I don’t have a proper contract with Davido; he is my guy so I am not worried about that. Some people have lived with him for years without any contract.”

On how he felt after he was insulted for wearing Davido’s clothes, Peruzzi said;

“How would you see something you like and you can’t tell your male friend that you like it? I told him I liked an outfit and he gave it to me. I have come to realise that no matter what I do, people would talk. I don’t let it get to me.”

 

 

 

 

Davido unfollows Chioma on Instagram

 Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has unfollowed his heartrob, Chioma, on Instagram.

This might not be unconnected to a claim that Peruzzi, his artiste, and Chioma had been in a relationship.

On Friday, King Patrick, the Executive Producer at GoldenBoy Entertainment, made revelation about how he had signed Peruzzi.

He released Peruzzi’s version of Davido’s hit, FIA, which he said was recorded years ago.

Patrick lamented that Peruzzi went behind him to join Davido’s label, DMW, and that he was yet to be compensated.

In his #SurvivingPeruzzi thread, Patrick wrote: “I signed Peruzzi and we all moved to Lagos, I got a better accommodation for him, a 5 bedroom house in Sangotedo. I also shot 3 videos for him but we released only one (For Your Pocket) which caught the attention of @Davido

“Davido reached out to Peruzzi and they were in constant contact. Peruzzi started telling me about how Davido wanted “US” to join DMW, I was excited because I wanted that exposure.

“I woke up to the news of the signing and I was mad and that marked the beginning of my depression. If only you know how it feels to be cheated by someone you truly loved and supported with all your heart.

“I have moved past wanting our brotherly relationship back, now all I want is my due compensation. I cannot be cheated out of this unjustly.

“I have been attacked and ambushed before because of this matter, now tell me would an innocent person do this? Twitter please help me restore my sanity and tell your fav to do the right thing.”

In his reaction, Davido tweeted: If you’re feeling depressed, remember that you’re not alone. God is with you always. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people in your family, your church, or your friend circles.Ask them to pray with you and not give u drugs ! Hope u feel better bro. Crackhead!”

The response, which apparently angered Patrick, triggered a tweet that seems to have split Davido and Chioma.

He replied: “If you’re Feeling stupid and you’re out there popping babies and giving girls STDs, don’t be sad, reach out to loved ones and get advise from your Huncho (reference to Peruzzi) on how to f*ck his Side Chick and pimp her out to you as his cousin. Let’s be guided pls. Incest is a Sin.”

In the midst of the controversies around Peruzzi‘s involvement with Golden Boy Entertainment and DMW, Davido is out here revealing how he has been using Peruzzi‘s talent to his advantage all these years.

Meanwhile, Patrick Anyaene, CEO of Golden Boy Entertainment called out Peruzzi and Davido while also stating how he has been battling depression for 2 years because Davido “Audio-Signed” his artiste, Peruzzi without his consent.

Sometimes in July 2018, Pulse Nigeria published an article about Peruzzi. In it, Pulse described Peruzzi as a Davido‘s “DMW artist.” The article was published around 2:30 pm in the afternoon.

In the 17-tweet thread, Patrick narrated how he met Peruzzi, and allegedly paid his bills, signed him, got him an accommodation only for the artist to allegedly sly him and breach terms of his contract with Golden Boy Entertainment.

“I want to make it clear that all I want from this is the Royalties & credit that DAVIDO MUSIC WORLDWIDE owes GOLDEN BOY ENTERTAINMENT, nothing more or less. We signed a contract and that should be respected met Peruzzi in 2014, then he was out of med school because of his father’s financial problems but I did everything in my power to help him go back to school. I paid for his ticket and Visa he was like a brother to me.

“He was more interested in music, so my investment in his education was a failed project but I still decided to support his music career. I clothed him, fed him and gave him allowances, I also made sure he had comfortable accommodation.

I had another artist called “BONDO KRAZZY” who peruzzi moved in with. There he worked on his music, while waiting for me to sign him by November 2016, as I had promised.

“When I was ready I signed Peruzzi and we all moved to Lagos, I got a better accommodation for him, a 5 bedroom house in Sangotedo. I also shot 3 videos for him but we released only one (For Your Pocket) which caught the attention of @Davido.

Instead of letting Davido know that he is signed to me, Peruzzi presented me as just the guy that helped him shoot his video.

“Davido was billed to perform at the One Africa Music festival, late 2017. For Your Pocket remix was trending then so he told me wanted to perform it at the show with Peruzzi, which never happened.

“I bought Peruzzi’s ticket to meet Davido for the performance, but instead of performing he got signed to DMW, without my consent, therefore breaching his contract. I woke up to the news of the signing and I was mad and that marked the beginning of my depression. If only you know how it feels to be cheated by someone you truly loved and supported with all your heart.

“Fast forward to 11/2019, Peruzzi set up a fake meeting with me to discuss how to pay back what he owes, instead of having the meeting I was ambushed, he threatened to kill me, saying what he owed me is chicken change but he is still yet to pay.

“I have been patient for 2 Years and @davido or @Peruzzi_VIBES have refused to pay me despite all my efforts. I had to bring this issue here because it enough. Peruzzi needs to be exposed! It’s been a depressing 2 years! And I can’t hold it in any longer.

“@Davido knew peruzzi was signed to Goldenboy yet he went ahead to “Audio Sign” Peruzzi without following due process. I reached out to him, look what a so called boss had to say in my dm. Fact: @Peruzzi_VIBES is not Signed to DMW. ”
